Doug Thompson is a licensed Property & Casualty Sales Executive at Brown & Brown of Indiana, one of Indiana's largest multi-line independent insurance agencies. Brown & Brown is a publicly traded company ranking in the top 10 of all independent insurance agencies in the country. With over 110 retail offices in 33 states Brown & Brown is one of the nation's most respected independent insurance agencies.

Prior to Brown & Brown, Doug worked as a Personal Banker for a top 25 nationally ranked Bank and obtained his B.S. in Construction Engineering Management Technology through the Purdue Engineering and Technology program at Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis while working as a Personal Banker. While at school he also worked for a program at IUPUI called, “New Product Review,” as a Product Analyst, that reviewed new technology being presented to the City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works for approval. These reviews were done to validate 3rd party testing, confirm specifications were to required industry standards, and present the results to the decision makers at the Department of Public Works.

It is these experiences that led him to formulate a statement that he strives to provide each client. It is: Making companies healthier, safer, and more profitable. “I want to enable companies to be more profitable by identifying the risks facing their business, mitigating these risks, and help them achieve “best in class” status that will attract those in the insurance marketplace. This will achieve a bottom line impact.”

He and his wife Jiyun, enjoy traveling when they can, especially internationally, learning other cultures. Jiyun is a Butler University grad, soon to be a graduate of the Indiana School of Dentistry. They are active members of Horizon Christian Fellowship Church on the Northeast side of Indianapolis, where they met and were married.
